Workshops and Labs
Model-making Workshop, accommodating up to 10 students, our lab is equipped with furniture, tools, and materials (some freely available to students) for model building overseen by a qualified Lab Technician. The tools include a wide range of hand tools and thirteen machines such as a band saw, disc sanger, 3D printer, and laser cutter. User Policy
ArtWork Laboratory, accommodating up to 22 students, our lab provides an abundance of natural light, large working tables, and storage for students to further develop their 3D thinking skills with hands-on experiences including the more artistic endeavors surrounding the pursuit of the visual arts component of an architectural design education such as painting and sculpting.
Digital Printing Laboratory, accommodating up to 12 students, our lab is a dedicated student workspace equipped with multiple digital printing options from traditional paper rolls from the small- to large-scale to advanced digital printing as 3D extrusion-based on polylactic acid polymer printing. User Policy
CAD Lab, accommodating up to 27 students, includes high-performance PC workstations with 22-inch computer monitors. All PCs are equipped with the state-of-the-art software packages for CAD and image processing as well as an A0 plotter, A0 scanner, and A3 printer.
Constructional Materials and Building Sciences Laboratory, accommodating up to 22 students, our lab is equipped with instruments for studying building acoustics, noise controls, and illumination studies including a library of construction materials and building systems as well as support the teaching of climate design, environmental control, and design studios for climate adaption, technology intergradation, and thermal comfort including the availability of sophisticated computer simulation tools to model how a building will perform based on a wide range of design variables.
